Amorita Resort Bohol: The Most “Darling” Beach Getaway in the Philippines

Amorita Resort Bohol: The Most “Darling” Beach Getaway in the Philippines

From white sandy beaches to lush “chocolate hills”, it’s hard not to love the tropical paradise of Bohol.  With its convenient international airport located in the heart of Panglao, the island is one of the most sought out destinations in the Philippines.

With vaccines rolling out around the world and tourism slowly picking up in the Philippines, it’s time to start island dreaming again.  If you’re planning to travel to Bohol for your first post pandemic vacation, and looking for a luxury, beachside stay — choose Amorita Resort.  Amorita translates to “darling” in Spanish, and you’ll certainly feel "all the feels” vacationing here.

How to Get to
Amorita Resort in Bohol

Umbrellas Upon Arrival at Panglao Airport

Umbrellas Upon Arrival at Panglao Airport

Amorita Resort is conveniently located less than 20 minutes from Panglao International Airport in Bohol . Whether you’re traveling domestically or internationally, it’s quite easy to get to and from Panglao Island.

There are a number of airlines to choose from when traveling domestically in the Philippines.  If you’re flying from Palawan to Bohol, AirSwift is the only airline that flies exclusively to and from Palawan.  We loved our experience with AirSwift Airlines — planes were clean and comfortable, and loved that we were thoughtfully welcomed with umbrellas upon landing.

Private, round-trip airport transfer is included with your stay at Amorita Resort.  Once you arrive at baggage claim, you’ll see a friendly Amorita staff member holding a sign with your name then you're off to paradise.

Welcome to Amorita Resort

Perched on top of a cliff overlooking Alona Beach, Amorita Resort’s stunning location and service are unmatched in Panglao.  This modern-luxe stay is the only resort in the Philippines to be awarded the Conde Nast Johansen Excellence Award for ‘Best In Service’.

"Welcome Ma’am Tess and Ma’am Marion!” — with open arms, the friendly staff greeted us with refreshments and herb infused towels at the resort’s open air lobby.  Within seconds at Amorita Resort, we were instantly at ease.

Once we checked in, we were escorted to our Sea View Suite through the resort’s lush gardens. From ocean villas with private plunge pools, to sea view suites, and to deluxe garden rooms —there are a plethora of rooms to choose from at Amorita Resort. So whether you’re traveling as a couple or as a family, there’s a room for every guest.

My mother and I chose the Sea View Suite for our stay.  The room was incredibly spacious with a minimalist and chic design — a lovely space to wind down after sun bathing and island exploring.  There were so many elements of the room that we loved.  We especially enjoyed the room’s complimentary beach bags, the enormous comfort room, and stone’s throw location to the resort’s private cove.

Start Your Morning at the Breakfast Buffet

Who doesn’t love a breakfast buffet at a luxury hotel?  Breakfast options were endless at Amorita Resort — the spread felt like breakfast, lunch, and dinner all at once.  Breakfast is served near the resort’s second infinity pool overlooking the sea.  Starting our mornings here were one of my favorite parts of our stay.

Head to Alona Beach

Pre-covid, Alona Beach was buzzing with tourists and vendors.  At times it was overwhelming, but thankfully Amorita Resort’s location was private yet accessible to the action. Alona Beach has a wide range of beachside restaurants, souvenir shops, and hotels right on the shore. There’s always something to do, but the best time to go to Alona Beach is early in the morning for peace and quiet.
